So I have almost got a place to live!

I got offered one which is ok, but i am waiting to hear from another which is really nice, about whether a cat is ok. So monday will hopefully be the day!

Also I had an interview for a 2 day a week job which would be good and compliment the 3 days at church.

And i had a lovely time having drinks with some old uni friends

And Nadal Vs Verdasco is a really good game!

And i think i might be allergic to pinapples...

And Karen is back which is nice...

what a strange day!

its been a bit strange today, in a nice way!

SO it started with bootcamp, owww!

Then a meeting with my new minister in Freshwater then i popped into the office and had a chat with the oldies manning the fort. I got a call then from a girl from evening church saying that there was a three day a week job going at her work in pymble. So i spoke to her boss and then got an interview at 4pm! Just after that i got a call for an interview for a job at Shore, on friday! I then had lunch - they have the best kebabs at dee why - on pittwater rd.

And joined the gym - fitness first at dee why and took myself off to pymble via my friend Vicki' place. whilst i was being interviewed i got a call from the real estate agent for a flat i really want! He said that the body corporate need to vote on if they were ok with a cat and that might take up to a week or more! waaaaahhhhhh i really wanted that one, how could they not love maxy??

So i came home via Koorong and they didnt have the book i wanted :(

So i am very tired!!! and a bit sad :)
please pray that they say YES to a cat ASAP!!!!!

ITS SO HOT!!!!!!!

oh my gosh!!!

its been hot all week, but today really takes the cake!! 41 degrees, yes thats 41 degrees.

and guess what i did today?? roamed the northern beaches looking for a place to live, i just about melted into a puddle!!!! And even with the aircon pumping its still like 28 degrees inside. Rumour has it that there is a southerly coming....

But in better news I put in an application for one of the places i saw, round the corner from church and nice, with a balcony. I also had another look at the place i applied for on wednesday and discovered it had a laundry afterall. So i am waiting till tuesday to hear about both of them,

I should be packing or at the gym but its actually to hot to do anything, i have had my feet in a bucket of water for like 2 hours and i was going to make risotto for dinner but i think i will have something cold!!

so tomorrow i have my first day at work!! wahoo, pray it goes well!

Sleep is NOT overrated

So i have really been struggling to sleep the last week or so. Its driving me NUTS!!!!

Last night i was ready to sleep at 9.30pm, but nooooo i got to sleep at 1.30am! and had to be at the gym at 6.30am, this is typical!

I'm doing the relaxing thing, the warm milk, the shower---what else can i do to get to sleep, the fatigue headache is getting really OLD!!!

Ang is on the move!!!!

Well prompted by my darling sister Deb, its about time i blogged :)

And I have lots of news!!!

I have a JOB!!!!! its part time, 3 days a week but its a job and a ministry job too!!!

Starting this sunday I will be an assistant minister at St Marks Freshwater (it used to be called Harbord, its on the Northern beaches of Sydney). Below is a picture of Freshwater Beach!

So since friday since i got the job its been all stations go! its been great to finally have a direction! I will need to get another part time job, probably 2 days a week maybe doing admin... i have applied for a whole bunch of job so we'll see what happens.

I also need to move! its a bit far to commute from Ultimo to Freshwater so i am looking for a place by the beach, on a budget of course :) On saturday my friend Catherine who lives in Collaroy came with me to look at a few flats, happily there were a few options in my price range... so well see. I also need to rent out the flat in Ultimo and met with a real estate property manager this morning. I feel bad cos my flatmate will have to move out, but hey thats life...

So Max and I will be hitting the road!!!

But i should go to bed Bootcamp starts at 6.30am tomorrow! its actually been really nice to get back to the gym and get my sweat on!

Hazel Maud Cook

Well grandma died very early on monday morning.

It was in the end a relief for her and for us. Although it has felt very weird all week not going to the hospital.

Dad is quite upset, which is understandable, she was his mother, the one constant in his life.

We are having the funeral on Saturday, we would have liked it earlier but hey, people needed to get here.

My grandma Hazel Maud Cook was a lovely lady, matriarch of the Cook clan, regal dignified, generous, loving, supportive, prayerful. She gave her grandchildren the great legacy of loving books.

I am thankful to have known her and even more thankful that i know she is with Jesus now.

Crosswords with the dying

Well Grandma is still with us.

She cant speak but sometimes she is awake and can point and tell us things with a nod and a raised eyebrow. They have stopped any treatment and are just giving her morphine to help with the pain, but she is still holding on.

Its very hard. Dad is enjoying talking to her, mum and i both lost it when grandma was trying to tell him she loved him and was worried he was upset. We sit and do crosswords while we wait. We are also playing some hymns and mum often reads her favourite Psalm, Psalm 23.

Its just a waiting game til she goes home in peace.

Well, it finally feels like summer i went to the beach with Marian yesterday and it was so lovely in the water! I was a bit stupid and didnt put sunscreen on the back of my legs and oh my gosh!!! so burnt so sore!!!

Grandma had a stroke on new years eve and really isnt very well. So i am heading back to finley tonight to say goodbye and then i will be back on tuesday ( if there isnt a funeral later in the week) and head to CMS summer School for a few days, i havent been before and i'm a bit excited!
